Purpose Place is striving to become a 21st Century relevant church. We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.
We believe the Rhema (spoken word) and Logos (written word) of God reveals the way to spiritual and natural prosperity, salvation, and eternal life. It is the only authority for faith, morals, doctrine and lifestyle.
We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion. St. Matt.28:16 -20
We believe there is only one God Deuteronomy 6:4. He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
We believe that In Jesus Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; for it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness dwells. Col. 2:9; Col. 1:19. In the virgin birth; Jesus was both human and divine. God manifests in the flesh.. St. Matt. 1:23; I Tim. 3:16.
We believe in water baptism (by immersion) according to Matthew 28:19 (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and Acts 2:38 (Jesus name) for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. This constitutes the new birth and we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:4, 38
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government. Mark 16:15-18; Acts 1:8; Acts 5:16; 2 Corinthians 12:1-11
We will proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, the transformative love, grace, and mery of our Lord & Savior. We have a passionate commitment to show people that salvation and forgiveness are possible through faith.
We will focus on serving the community beyond our church's walls. Outreach initiatives include supporting local charities, participating in community events, and providing aid to those in need. We beleive we must make a tangible impact on society, emphasizing the social responsibility embedded in our faith, reflecting the love and compassion of Christ in our actions.
We will seek the holistic improvement of each member of our ministry – spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially. We will work to develop strong, faith-filled families and individuals. We aim to nurture relationships, foster personal growth, promote physical and mental health, as well as enhance spiritual awareness.
We will have a strong emphasis on the power of prayer and the richness of worship. We will aim to create an environment where individuals can connect with God in a deeply personal way, experience His presence, and be transformed by it. We will teach the importance of prayer, and foster a culture of worship that is spirit-led and faith-filled.
We will guide the youth and young adult members of the church and community as they navigate their spiritual journey. We will provide them with the resources, opportunities, and support they need to grow in faith, discover their unique gifts, and become future leaders in the church and their communities.
We will show the agape love of God, love for others, and love for self. We will foster a culture of love, reflecting the love of Christ in our interactions with each other, and reaching out in love to those who feel marginalized or unloved.
We will strive for the highest quality in all we do, from our worship services and community initiatives to our interpersonal relationships. It's about doing our best to reflect God's glory, maintaining high standards that honor Him. It serves as a constant reminder that whatever we do, we do it for the Lord, and therefore, it should be done with utmost dedication and excellence.
